My Table Monday

My Table Monday - Leaf Keychains!!
It feels so great revealing my table to you on a perfect September afternoon.
I spent yesterday, my Sunday afternoon working on something brand spanking new:
The HartFelt Autumn Leaf Keychain.
Creating a new design is my favorite part of the process. I start with a sketch, and then develop a pattern from the sketch. I then begin to hand-cut the eco friendly felt by hand and I work on it and work on it until its just right. Sometimes I make a few before I decide which one I really like the best. !
My 3.5 year old son is really into taking pictures from his camera these days. So being the proud mama that I am I had to share his photography...the second one down! As he says, "I'm going to take a picture of your leaves Mama!"

Work in Progress -- Monkeys!!
This week I am working on custom order monkeys! I was most excited to work on the ornament monkey! My goal is to offer a variety of animal ornaments in the shop by the end of the year.
The fabulous Mrs. Jillian Reiter, (and mama to three) who ordered these monkeys is a consultant for Pink Papaya!
Have you heard of Pink Papaya?
If not, you are missing out! You can find out all about her and her wonderful products on her website.
Or follow her on her Facebook fan page, where she posts sneek peeks, discounts, and giveaways. I highly recomend that you do so you don't miss out!

Work in Progress ::: Hoot & Hop Hop
Hey Friends:
I have lots I am working on this week!
What have you been up to? Any fun projects?
Here is my newest "Hoot" the owl. He is a custom order for my mom's friend's first grandbaby! I'm loving the color combo they have chosen for their nursery! Light green, cream and bright blue. I can't wait to see what he looks like all stitched and stuffed!
Also, a couple more owl and bunny party favors, and a bunny softie.
Here is a shot of all together. You can see the perspective really well on the different sizes in this picture. Hoot is actually quite a bit bigger than the others cuties. Keep in mind they do shrink down a bit after being stuffed.

Work in Progress - - - Polka Dot Owl
Here are 4 Polka Dot Owls in the works ... ready to be stitched, so they can go to there new homes.
What is your favorite part about crafting? I love everything about crafting...using creativity to create a new design, cutting out all the felt pieces, stitching all the pieces together, shopping for supplies...my list could go on. I do have to admit that I love the stitching part the most. I've loved to stitch (particularly embroidery) since I was a little girl. That thing called life took over for many years. I'm so glad I jumped back in full force into my craft. I'm in love. I could stitch all day if I could...maybe one day I will be able to.
So for now, I am cutting and stitching like crazy in the evenings to prepare for the expo...
One of these owls is being sent to the March giveaway winner. One owl will be submitted as a door prize for the Pregnancy Baby Kids Expo. Two are left. Any takers? Email me any questions:: ihartfelt@yahoo.com
Please take note that I happily take custom orders and bulk orders.

Work in Progress - Owls & A Bunnie
I am officially preparing for the Pregnancy, Baby & Kids Expo coming up on Saturday, April 21, 2012. It is my first expo ever. There is a first for everything right!? I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. It should be a great opportunity to meet new contacts and get more of my owls out there in the world. I am also creating advertisements to be given to the first 100 customer welcome bags. All this while keeping up my full time job of property manager, mother, and wife. I can Do This!

Work in Progress - "Hop Hop" the Bunny Rabbit
I sketched the bunny first.
I then made the sketch into pattern pieces.
I pin the pattern pieces to the felt so I can hand cut all the shapes.
Using embroidery thread I hand stitch all the details like eyelashes and whiskers before I pin all the pieces together to be stitched together. The last step not shown here is to stuff the bunny with polyfil.
"Hop Hop," the Bunny arrived just in time for Spring!! "Hop Hop," would make a perfect gift for a new baby, or for Easter as it is just around the corner! He will be listed in my etsy shop in a few short days. I can make him in any color combination you can dream up. xox
