For some time now on the top of my 'to-do' list has been a desperate need to:

 Design a new tag technique to tag my plushies that will save precious time. 

I adore my original tags that I make...and so do my customers. 

However, soooo time consuming. 

{I'm talking hours to make 20}

My new technique has enabled me to make 100 tags in 10 minutes max!!!!!

This is a no-brainer.

The original tag pieces are all hand cut and tacky glued by myself into a half inch square. 

The new tags are made by stamping my logo, from a custom stamp, with opaque paint onto

a half inch square piece of bias tape. {twill works too}

I will continue to make my original tags in the future for my more expensive plushies, but for the smaller items such as party favors and ornaments made in larger quantities and sold at wholesale prices

I will begin stitching in my new tags.

DIY Postcards

Heres the scoop:
I took a photo of my softies. I opened the photo in picnik (bummed they are shutting down their services in April). Is there a photo editing site you suggest? I simply added text to my photo. Saved it to a SD card & took my SD card to my local print shop.  I brought along with me my own white cardstock I got on clearance @ Joanns the other day. I had 4 photos printed per page @ 53¢ per color copy. They cut them for me for $3.98. I could have done the cutting myself but the money was worth the time saved. For around $30.00 I now have 200 postcards for all my advertising pleasure. What are your advertising suggestions? Do you order your advertising, or do you "do it yourself?"

Work in Progress - "Hop Hop" the Bunny Rabbit

I sketched the bunny first.

I then made the sketch into pattern pieces.

I pin the pattern pieces to the felt so I can hand cut all the shapes.

Using embroidery thread I hand stitch all the details like eyelashes and whiskers before I pin all the pieces together to be stitched together. The last step not shown here is to stuff the bunny with polyfil.

"Hop Hop," the Bunny arrived just in time for Spring!! "Hop Hop," would make a perfect gift for a new baby, or for Easter as it is just around the corner! He will be listed in my etsy shop in a few short days. I can make him in any color combination you can dream up. xox
