  4. great photos!
I've ridden on trains twice in my life.
I've thought it would be fun to take a train across Canada.
I love seeing trains rumbling through the mountains.

  5. Really great photos -- I especially like the first one. I've ridden various trains but the best would have to be the one I rode from England to Belgium , with a trip on a ferry! Old style train with compartments with sofa like seating!

  6. Nice photos! I agree, trains have something mystical, not quite, but almost a thing of the past - as sad as it is. Although I just had a very nice trip in Germany on it. ;)

Saying 'hello' via Alphabe- Thursday - mine for letter 'T' @ ImagesByCW is about the Ticino / Valle Verzasca

  12. Trains were a common feature on the prairies where I grew up and I still associate the sound of a train whistle with lots of happy childhood memories. Thank you for reminding me of them today.

  14. Thank you for sharing these photos. They are fantastic. My boys used to love trains. When they were very young, I used to take them for a few stops on our local commuter line, stop and have lunch, then turn back around and come home again. Those were such sweet days.

  15. These pictures are terrific.

    The top one is amazing.

I have always been drawn to trains and the perceived romance of them.

    I loved this.
